Vanellope, or as her foster family likes to call her, Penny, is a pitt terrier mix who loves to play and go on long walks. She often plays with her foster family’s dogs and wrestles and chases them. Penny needs frequent exercise, as she is an energetic dog. She absolutely loves toys and playing tug of war. She grabs the toys and drops them at your feet, as a little gift. If you are sitting, Penny will bring them one at a time until they are all piled up in front of you.
Penny thrives on human company. She takes any chance to lie down next to you. She always comes up to the couch and places her giant fish-bowl of a head on your lap for attention. Although not a very vocal dog, her eyes are deep and expressive. You can normally tell how she’s feeling from her body language. When she is excited, her butt wiggles and her whole body will shake with excitement.
She is housebroken. Her foster mom describes her as a camel, holding it in forever and then peeing forever. She is a bit quirky when it comes to going outside to pee, and will want you to follow her out. Penny loves being outside, especially running outside. She is just as happy to be inside or wherever the humans are.
Penny is a very smart and intuitive dog. Occasionally, she will try to be the alpha, but she can easily be redirected. She is very food motivated, making her fairly easy to train. She can be rather stubborn, and might ignore a command if she’s doesn’t feel like doing something. At the end of the day, however, Penny loves people and will always aim to please them.
She will sit perfectly for treats and knows "paw," "come," and "down." She won’t beg when you’re eating at the table, but she will sit and watch you as you eat. She is a dedicated, energetic, loving pit terrier mix looking to find her forever home.
