Zeus is a fun-loving, energetic terrier chihuahua mix who would make a great addition to any active, loving household. At 4 years of age, and weighing in at 17 pounds, Zeus may be small but he is mighty!
Zeus settled in well with his foster home, enjoying his daily walk and outdoor playtime very much. Despite his energy, he also has shown that he can be a well mannered and easy going dog when required.
We have observed Zeus to be a very loving dog with those he trusts. He will be the first to greet you at the door and the first to nudge up next to you on the couch. We do not recommend him for a family with many young children, as his size, high activity levels, and reactivity toward fast moving objects such as joggers or bikes indicate that it might be more difficult for Zeus to adapt to that type of household setting.
Zeus’s foster mother has slowly introduced him to her other dogs, and he has shown that he would be just as comfortable as an only dog as he would be with brothers and sisters! He has learned several basic commands and has shown great progress.
Zeus is a very smart dog. He has shown this in his ability to pick up on training and commands rather quickly. He is fully housetrained. That being said, Zeus loves to constantly be stimulated and get lots of exercise.
Zeus is a bright and happy boy who would be a perfect fit for an active family lifestyle.
