Meet Lil Ritchie!
Weighing in at a mighty 25 pounds, this 3 year old terrier mix is full of love and kisses.
Lil Ritchie was rescued as a stray. Not much is known about his past; When he met his current foster mom, he displayed signs of abuse and was underweight, malnourished, and terrified. However, within 24 hours of entering his foster home, his personality completely blossomed. He instantly became friends with the other dogs and cats in the home and took a particular liking to his foster mom’s English Bulldog.
He enjoys toys and a large yard where he spends every day running around and playing. Don’t let his smaller stature fool you, his foster mom says that he is one of the fastest dogs in the home! As much as he enjoys spending time with his feline and canine friends, Lil Ritchie prefers being in the company of people. He will follow you everywhere, and he especially loves car rides with the window down. He his happiest when he is with you. He greets everyone he meets with triumph and shows no signs of aggression, regardless of whether or not they are familiar. He has formed a strong bond to his foster mom and is very loyal.
Though he came in as a stray, Lil Ritchie is house and crate trained and has no habit of chewing. Based on observations, he interacts well with children over the age of 10 who have experience with dogs. He is currently fostering with cats and dogs of all sizes and breeds, and does fine with all of them. A perfect home for Lil Ritchie would include other animals, a family with a strong home presence, a yard to run around in, and many toys to play with.
